A great opportunity for an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior to join a respected sole practitioner firm in Northamptonshire. This position is ideal for someone looking to strengthen their audit skills while gaining broad experience across accounts and tax in a supportive, small-firm environment.
About the Role
Working closely with the firm’s principal, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of assignments, including:
- Assisting with audit fieldwork and preparing working paper files
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and LLPs
- Supporting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Carrying out bookkeeping, VAT and related practice tasks
- Handling client queries and building strong working relationships
This role offers genuine variety and the opportunity to develop rounded experience that larger firms often struggle to provide.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
- ACCA / ACA part-qualified status (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
- Good communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
