Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior 

Join a highly regarded accountancy firm with a strong audit offering and a reputation for professional development and work-life balance. This is a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or finalist-level) auditor looking to step up or diversify their experience across a wide range of clients.

The Role:
You’ll be involved in a broad range of audit assignments with the bias leaning strongly towards audit and the remainder focused on accounts preparation. Clients span sectors such as financial services, pensions, charities, education, and professional services, with turnovers ranging up to £250m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting on audit assignments from planning to completion

  • Prepare statutory accounts (including consolidated accounts under FRS102)

  • Support and mentor junior team members on audit and accounting issues

  • Draft corporation tax computations

  • Handle audit-exempt accounts prep work for limited companies, LLPs and partnerships

Software Exposure (Desirable):
Experience using software such as CCH Accounts Production, ProAudit, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Alphatax and MS Office would be an advantage. Laptop provided.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA or ACCA part – qualified, or nearing qualification

  • Minimum 2.5 years’ experience within an established accountancy firm

  • Solid audit background with experience preparing full audit files

  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and colleagues
