BSD Senior – c£45K – Northampton
A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy firm in Northampton is looking to appoint a Business Services Department (BSD) Senior to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on a varied role across accounts, tax, and advisory, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to a broad range of industries.
The Role:
As a BSD Senior, your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with relevant accounting standards.

Producing Corporation Tax and Income Tax computations, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.

Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, providing valuable insights to support clients’ financial planning and decision-making.

Supporting the delivery of advisory projects and other specialist assignments.

Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships.

Working closely with senior team members and helping to support and guide junior staff.

Managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality, accurate outputs across all work.
What’s Needed:

ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist level) ideally but experience is as important as qualification.

Experience in a UK accountancy practice, particularly in accounts preparation and tax compliance

Good working knowledge of accounting and tax principles

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Confident communicator with a proactive, team-focused approach
